Domestic surveillance:

EPIC has filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the National Security Agency regarding the new secret cybersecurity program known as "Perfect Citizen." Blog

The National Security Agency (NSA) recently released a secret domestic surveillance technology, ironically called the Perfect Citizen. The technology monitors nuclear power plants, train stations, and the electric power grid to safeguard against cyber-assaults.
If Perfect Citizen can survey these places, what will stop them from spying on everyday citizens? Blog

The Washington Post released Top Secret America, a major expose of government surveillance operations. The first article in the series, “A hidden world, growing beyond control,” reveals secrecy and waste pervading massive redundancy, a disturbing lack of coordination among overlapping federal agencies, apparent profiteering, and outright counter-productivity. Political surveillance and harassment by U.S. law enforcement agencies are on the rise with incidents reported in at least 33 states since 9/11, according to a review by the American Civil Liberties Union. The ACLU also announced the launch of a new “Spyfiles” web hub on domestic political surveillance. Blog
