"Contact Your Reps!," by David Weller
Contact your reps!
It's a few easy steps...
See some of our problems?
They can help solve them...
Just go to their
web sites, you can't miss,
and say to them, "Please vote for this"!
So, have a constituent request?
Please, be their honored guest!
However, are you getting no reply?
Then, ask future candidates, "Why"?

"Government Transparency," by David Weller
government transparency:
uncovers the data
uncovers as beta
is work to behold
is truth to be told
just to begin
just sign in
collect on computer
collect no disputer
share with your friends
share all the trends
yes, turn into info
yes, turn the people so
uncovers the data
uncovers as beta
is work to behold
is truth to be told
just to begin
just sign in
collect on computer
collect no disputer

"Identity Theft," by David Weller
Are you...experienced?
Have you...
tacked the web?
Have you...
typed in bed?
Have you...
worked in the kitchen?
Have you...
watched what you're missin'?
Are you...
personal?
Are you...
trail evidence?
Have you...
tacked the web?
Have you...
typed in bed?
Have you...
worked in the kitchen?
Have you...
watched what you're missin'?
Are you...
personal?
Are you...
trail evidence?

"Government for Sale," by David Weller
Info, not informationData, now, well, data?
Databases galore
Needing some more
Government info
Is data consumed.
The truth as we know it
Can I make a profit?

"Sunlight Transparency," by David Weller
I have sent a 'sunlight' poem to the Sunlight Foundation. In only a few short years, they have been instrumental in many fine government reform projects on the internet. So, I dedicate "The sun" to the hard-working folks at the Sunlight Foundation:
The shine
that lights the whole
The sear
that warms the soul
The star
that sight's the steep
The sun
that charms the deep

"At the Polling Place, a Song," by David Weller
I ran across this old poem of several years ago that unfortunately ring true today! It's a tongue-in-cheek experience of a voter's visit to the polling place..
Lasting in Line
is a crazy thing...
There is so much to do
before you can be voting
there is the heartfelt
chatter of hazing,
by those that have voted...
there is the cute
crashing of the computer,
by those that assist voters...
there is the quaint
intimidation,
by those that tell the total vote...
Yes, Lasting in Line
is a crazy thing...
There is so much to do
by those that help voters!
Oh, Lasting in Line
is a crazy thing...
There is so much to do
by those that help voting!
Lasting in Line
is a crazy thing...
There is so much to do
before you can be voting
there is the heartfelt
chatter of hazing,
by those that have voted...
there is the cute
crashing of the computer,
by those that assist voters...
there is the quaint
intimidation,
by those that tell the total vote...
Yes, Lasting in Line
is a crazy thing...
There is so much to do
by those that help voters!
Oh, Lasting in Line
is a crazy thing...
There is so much to do
by those that help voting!
